Mark Warren

COFOUNDER, CHAIRMAN & CEO

Mark Warren is the founder and former President & CEO of Pethealth Inc. formed in 1998. Under his leadership, Pethealth became the leading aggregator of new pet and pet owner data, the largest provider of cloud-based software to the companion animal industry, one of the largest providers of pet insurance in the US, UK & Canada and the world’s largest provider of companion animal microchip technology. He is also a former CEO of Hambros Canada Inc. and former Executive Director of Hambros Bank Limited.

Mark holds a B.A. (Hon) from University College, University of Toronto and a M.Sc. (Econ) from the London School of Economics. He is the father of two grown sons and as empty nesters, he and his wife Sue share their home with two dogs.

Glen Tennison

COFOUNDER, PRESIDENT & CFO

Glen Tennison is the former CFO of Pethealth Inc. from its creation in 1998 to its sale to Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited in 2014. He led Pethealth’s many acquisitions including that of Nestlé Purina’s pet insurance business, PurinaCare; the acquisition of Domestic and General Group Limited’s U.K. pet insurance provider, Pet Protect Ltd.; and the acquisition of VetMedsDirect.co.uk, an online retailer of pet specialty products. He holds a B. Comm (Hon) from McMaster University and a CPA, CA designation which he earned while working for PricewaterhouseCoopers.

He and his wife Alaina have three children and a dog named Teddy. In addition to sitting on the boards of DCCC portfolio companies, he is a board member of the Darling Home for Kids, a hospice and palliative care facility for medically fragile children.

MacKenzie Keillor

VP, M&A, Strategy &
Shareholder Relations; President, Dockside Investco.

MacKenzie leads M&A activities and strategic initiatives at Dane Creek Capital Corp. Her focus is on sourcing, evaluating, and completing investment/acquisition opportunities, and supporting portfolio companies.

Prior to joining DCCC, MacKenzie worked as an investment analyst and program lead for Nova Scotia’s early stage venture capital fund Innovacorp, covering life sciences, ocean technology, clean technology and information technology sectors. MacKenzie holds a Bachelor of Management degree with a major in sustainable resources and environmental management from Dalhousie University. More recently, she studied venture capital finance at Saint Mary’s University and is currently pursuing her CFA.

Peter Galoska

VICE PRESIDENT, ACCOUNTING & ADMINISTRATION

Peter Galoska is a veteran finance and accounting professional with over 35 years of experience managing both public and private sector company finances. His skill set includes operations, reporting, acquisitions, IT systems, and more. Formerly the VP of Finance at Pethealth Inc., Peter has been working with the co-founders since 2005. He holds a B.Sc. from the University of New Brunswick, a Graduate Diploma in Accounting from McGill University and a CPA, CGA designation.

In his spare time, Peter enjoys traveling to the U.K. and time spent with his grandkids.

Rasmus Hvid

Director of Operations

Rasmus is the Director of Operations at DCCC. He is responsible for general manufacturing operations and providing support for process optimization, product development and system implementation throughout the portfolio companies.
 
Prior to joining DCCC, Rasmus gained experience as a Forensics Expert specializing in Product Liability cases which involved evaluating a product or system for design or manufacturing defects and applying risk management techniques. He graduated with a Masters of Engineering from University of Toronto with a major in Materials Science and Engineering and previously completed a Bachelor of Applied Science from Queen’s University in Mechanical Engineering.

Suryakant Bheem

GROUP FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

Before joining the accounting team at Dane Creek, Suryakant held the position of Financial Controller at Pethealth Inc. for over 8 years. Prior to that, while working for KPMG and a multinational bank, Surya led numerous audit engagements, SOX projects and fraud investigations in Canada, United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Hong Kong and the United Kingdom. Surya holds a degree in Commerce with a major in accounting from the University of Karachi and now is the Group Financial Controller for the Dane Group of Companies.

He and his wife Maya have a daughter named Aankshika. In their spare time they enjoy interior décor, painting with mixed media and cooking.

Nabil Ahmed

INTERMEDIATE ACCOUNTANT

Nabil is an Intermediate Accountant at Dane Creek Capital. Before joining Dane Creek, Nabil was an Accounting Manager at AXIS Integrated. Nabil has worked in a variety of industries including food, transportation, fashion, healthcare and marketing. He has developed an extensive knowledge in full-cycle accounting. Nabil is also studying to complete his CPA designation.

In his spare time Nabil likes to hang out with his friends and families. His hobbies include art, shopping and working on his car.

Khushbu Patel

Intermediate Accountant

Khushbu Patel is an Intermediate Accountant at Dane Creek Capital Corp. She has more than seven years of experience in accounting, finance and taxation related activities. Prior to joining Dane Creek, she worked with various leading industries including mining, banking, retail and manufacturing. Khushbu has her degree in commerce with a major in Accounting from Gujarat University.

In her spare time, Khushbu enjoys spending time with her family, listening to old Bollywood music and painting.

Aleksandar Ceranic

Intermediate Accountant

Aleksandar is an Intermediate Accountant at Dane Creek Capital. Before joining Dane Creek, Aleksandar was a Senior Accountant at Daybar Industries Limited. Aleksandar has worked in a variety of industries including manufacturing, marketing, distribution, and healthcare. He posses’ expertise in full cycle accounting and is a holder of a CPA,
CMA designation.

In his spare time Aleksandar likes to hang out with his friends and families. His hobbies include listing to music, going to movie theaters, playing various sports, and
attending social events.

Patrick Deng

Analyst

Patrick is an analyst at DCCC. He is responsible for building reporting and analytics to support operation activities, modify and integrate database systems and operate database management tools to analyze data, document data per requirements and assist with M&A operations.

Prior to joining DCCC, Patrick held multiple internships and research positions in the Chemical and Petroleum sector, where he worked on nanoparticle stabilization research, data aggregation and analytics, and numerical modelling. He graduated from the University of Calgary with a Master of Engineering in Chemical and Petroleum Engineering.

John Ross

PRODUCTION ARTIST

John is a Production Artist and is responsible for assisting with and expediting the creative development and print production across the portfolio brands.

Prior to joining Dane Creek Capital Corp., John worked at a locally owned print shop in Halifax, Nova Scotia where he ran the day-to-day operations. He was responsible for managing communications with clients, designing and producing print orders, and installing signage.

He graduated NSCC in 2018 with diplomas in Applied Media & Communication Arts and Graphic Design.
